Why we built it

The math apps we tried were bright and busy. Our child could guess, tap until the screen turned green, and still win the prize. The app said "mastered." A week later, the skill was gone.

The paper programs that teach well took prep time a working parent doesn't always have. And then there were the records: a notebook here, a spreadsheet there, pulled together the night before they were due.

So we built what we wished we had. Practice a child can't guess their way through. A two-minute moment where your child teaches you. Checks that come back weeks later, because that's the real test. And records that fill themselves in while the learning happens.

We've used Wiseling at home week after week while building it. Every screen has been shaped by what a real child actually did with it.

What we believe

• Knowing beats clicking. A right answer after five guesses isn't learning. First tries tell the truth.
• Children learn by explaining. When a child teaches a skill with real things, both of you see what they know.
• Learning has to last. Skills come back days and weeks later, because that's when you find out what stuck.
• Calm is a feature. No ads, no prizes to buy, no leaderboards. A miss is "not yet."
• You're the teacher. Our job is to give you clear next steps and records you can trust, not to replace you.
• Your family's data is yours. It stays on your device, and we'll never sell it.

Who Wiseling is for

Homeschool families come first, because they carry the most: the teaching, the planning and the paperwork. But Wiseling is for any parent who wants calm, honest practice at home and a clear answer to "Is my child where they should be?" That includes families whose kids are in school.

Where we are going

We're starting with math for kindergarten through third grade, tested with families in the beta. More grades come next, then reading and other subjects, all built the same way: do it, show it, know it. Your child picks the theme: karate today, Brick Builders soon, and more after that. Records start with South Carolina, and more states are on the way.
